The ICC Academy Ground in Dubai is the main venue for T20 WC warm-up matches. It's a brand new facility that has been built by the ICC, with state-of-the-art facilities for both players and fans.

The ground will be used for all the warm-up games between now and December 27th when Sri Lanka play Ireland in their opening game at the tournament.

Ireland won the toss and opted to field first. Sri Lanka's openers failed to get going as they lost their wickets quickly. Nuwan Pradeep took two wickets in three balls, while Suranga Lakmal dismissed Ravi Bopara (1) with his first ball of the match. Despite having a comfortable lead at this point, Ireland were unable to build on it as they were bowled out for 215 runs in 40 overs.

Sri Lanka made a poor start when they lost four wickets for 25 runs after losing their first four wickets for just 27 runs. They recovered somewhat by scoring 120/4 off 15 overs but still lost six more wickets before stumps – including two more by Nuwan Pradeep that brought him figures of 4/38 from his 11 overs - leaving them with 182/9 from 32 overs which was enough for Ireland to chase down with ease thanks largely due its excellent start where it scored 215/4 off its 50 overs with captain William Porterfield scoring an unbeaten 136*, equalling his career-best score against Zimbabwe earlier this year!

Will Ireland be able to beat Sri Lanka in this warm-up match ?

Ireland has a good chance of winning this match. Sri Lanka is a very strong team and has some great players in their side, but Ireland's bowling attack can be very effective against them.

Sri Lanka's batting line-up consists of Sangakkara, Mathews and Angelo Mathews who are all experienced international players who have played for many years now. If you compare the two teams' batting lineups then you will see that it is much better than that of Ireland's which consists solely of six young guys who have only just been drafted into international cricket (including one player whose last game was back in 2015). Therefore it would seem as though while they may not be as experienced as their opponents they also lack experience when compared with them when it comes down to playing against high quality opposition like India or Australia where there are many more established players within those teams' respective squads so therefore having less senority within your own side may not necessarily mean anything negative about how well prepared you will perform when faced with such challenges ahead!

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first on a green pitch at Galle International Stadium, where they were favourites to win the match after winning their previous five T20 matches against Ireland (twice). But it was not meant to be that way as Ireland ran amok batting first with a score of 215 for 3 wickets off 39 deliveries bowled by Dananjaya Gunathilaka(4/18) and Kusal Perera(3/27). This was also their highest total ever against Sri Lanka in any format of cricket!

The visitors started out well with Dimuth Karunaratne scoring 23 off 16 balls before he got run out due to poor running which could have been avoided if there were more than two fielders inside circle waiting for him outside crease area near mid-off point when he had taken his guard while chasing one down from long-on position towards fine leg area where no fielder was present except Kusal Perera standing next ball after getting hit by ball but still managed making contact with wicket keeper Parikshan Shukla who took clean catch diving forward towards leg side boundary rope as well as inside boundary line behind him which would have been difficult otherwise

Conclusion

The match was as expected and Ireland did not make it easy for themselves. Sri Lanka played better than expected after losing so many games recently and they bowled well in the first ten overs. Ireland lost their last six wickets for under 20 runs which is pretty poor considering how much pressure they were under by then as well.
